Team Operation Rebound at Oceanside - 03/11/2010
On Saturday, March 27, five injured military personnel and first responders will participate in the Rohto Ironman 70.3 California as part of Team Operation Rebound Rohto Ironman 70.3 California. Team Operation Rebound is open to all participants registered for the event and hopes to raise more than $85,000 to support U.S. injured military personnel and first responders become whole through sport. The funds will be used to underwrite the Challenged Athletes Foundation's® (CAF) Operation Rebound® program, which provides unparalleled sports opportunities and support to our injured heroes - helping them go from "frontline to finish line."

Ironman Sports Medicine Conference - 03/11/2010
Royal Kona Resort on The Big Island of Hawaii, October 3-9, 2010. Featuring speakers and participants from around the world, the Ironman Sports Medicine Conference has become an integral part of the Ford Ironman World Championship. The first medical conference associated with the event took place in 1982, and since then has been a valuable opportunity for medical personnel around the world to increase their knowledge on issues pertinent to endurance athletes and their care. The conference strives to provide state of the art reviews of the latest science regarding sports and exercise, as well as common sports related injuries and illness. It also provides great opportunities for networking and a focus on improving the personal fitness and performance of conference attendees.

Nine for Brown, record for Lawn in Taupo - 03/11/2010
Cameron Brown showed all his experience to overcome the challenge from fellow Kiwi, Terenzo Bozzone, to claim his ninth victory at the Bonita Ironman New Zealand. Their countrywoman Jo Lawn gained the upper hand over rival Gina Crawford to reclaim the women's title that she lost to the Christchurch triathlete last year in Taupo, setting a new course record in the process despite the windy conditions.

World Triathlon Corporation Announces Official Coaching Partners World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) announces its selection of official coaching partners. With agreements through 2012, Troy Jacobson and Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) will now serve as Official Coaches for all athletes participating in the Ironman® and Ironman® 70.3® Event Series.

"This one's for JJ," said Gary (Gazza) Stephen as he steered the jet boat towards another one of the Nga AwaPurua Rapids on the Waikato River. I'm not sure if human beings are meant to be inside a boat, moving at somewhere between 80 and 100 kilometers per hour (50 and 60 mph) at any time, but I am 100 per cent sure that people aren't supposed to aim for rocks at that kind of speed. Gazza didn't seem too concerned.

IronKids Triathlon Series Expands to 12 Events in 2010 - 03/11/2010
World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), owners and operators of the IronKids brand, announces the 2010 IronKids National Triathlon Series schedule and opening of event registration. IronKids, which targets youth ranging from 6 to 15 years of age, aims to inspire and motivate youth through sport to lead an active, positive and healthy lifestyle. Participants compete in age-appropriate distances with an emphasis on fun and safety. Now in its second year, the youth triathlon series will return to the 2009 host communities while adding several new locations to its roster.

Prime Minister to start Bonita Ironman New Zealand - 03/11/2010
The Prime Minister, Hon John Key, (pictured here at last year's race) is taking a hands-on approach to Saturday's Bonita Ironman New Zealand triathlon in Taupo. Ironman China Preview - 03/11/2010
All eyes are on the temperature as race week approaches and the North corner of Hainan Island settles into tropical triathlon fever in preparation for Ironman China this Sunday. Though the climate is unseasonably chilly at a low 11 degrees (Celsius) today, the temperature is forecast to increase by almost 20 degrees by the weekend. Now in its third year, Ironman China is established as one of the toughest Ironman races on the events calendar and has attracted many of the world's finest, and perhaps most ambitious, Ironman triathletes to Haikou.
